Emily Cherniack, Founder and Executive Director of New Politics, released the following statement:

“Marni von Wilpert understands that real leadership means showing up for others before yourself. Her entire record of service reflects that, whether serving in Botswana during the AIDS epidemic, standing up for workers on Capitol Hill, holding bad actors accountable as a Deputy City Attorney, or protecting working families on San Diego City Council. That commitment isn't performative. It's the foundation of everything she does, and it's what gives us such confidence that she'll fight for her home district with that same conviction every single day in Congress.”
